Altichiero has a ruby red colour with garnet tones. Aromas of great complexity that indulge a little at a time, from wilted rose to sweet tobacco, candied citrus and rhubarb. The flavour is of great acid-tannic balance with excellent fruit persistence.
A red for game, rustic and succulent dishes of Venetian cuisine especially gravies and saucy meats. Try with aged cheeses and jams.
